The Multiplatform Journalism, B.S., Curriculum

Your hands-on learning starts right away with a media practicum course, working with a university media outlet.

Throughout the program, you’ll build knowledge and skills in applied and conceptual courses that focus on written and oral communication and the use of multiple media platforms to communicate to diverse audiences effectively and ethically.

You’ll customize your degree to your goals by choosing an area of concentration: business/marketing or scientific/technical communication.

In your junior or senior year, you’ll complete a communication internship, typically with a local media outlet, public relations team or marketing organization.
